The only undeveloped island of Caribbean is Barbuda. It is lonely and isolated and seems to be deserted. One can only find traces of some visitors to the island and glimpses of Fregata magnificens, or frigate bird. Characteristically, these birds are well known for their affinity towards northwest lagoon. Hence, the pristine white and pink sandy beauty of Barbuda offers them a perfect place for rest and halt. This northwestern lagoon of Barbuda is accessible only by boat and it is the primary attraction as Barbuda's Frigate Bird Sanctuary is located here.
Regarding the history of Barbuda, it was in 1666 that the British established a colony here. However, Christopher Codrington was regarded as the pre-eminent family of the Barbuda.
