Bhutan celebration means different kinds of masked dances involving different costumes, masks and different dance moves. All these dances carry some religious message.

  • Punakha Dromche – It is different from other festivals celebrated in Bhutan. This festival depicts the events of ancient military operations. Guardian deities of Bhutan are worshiped on this day.
  • Paro Festival – Depending on the Bhutanese calendar this festival is celebrated in March or April. In this colorful festival of Bhutan participants wear colorful ornamental dresses. The main attraction of this festival is Thongdrel.
  • Trongsa Festival – This festival is celebrated in December or January. It involves masked dances, colorful dresses, and traditional music.

Bhutan celebrations are all colorful events and because of the religious significance that each festival carries it generates a power and purifies the mind and soul of the spectators. The common factor of all Bhutan celebration is its masked dance which is a very famous dance form of every event in Bhutan, attracting tourists from all over the world.
