Apart from the Htamane, you will be able to witness one of its other popular festival during Thabodwe, the Mee-pone-pwe which makes the Thabodwe Celebration even more exiting. The Mee-pone-pwe is celebrated to denote the offering of fire for warmth in the severe winter season. This ancient festival is believed to have come into existence during the Bagan period in Burma. Thabodwe Celebration truly reflects the rich culture and traditions of this magnificent country.
