Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ.
A global festival, it is celebrated all around
the world. December 25th is celebrated as Christmas
every year. Although it celebrates the birth of
Jesus Christ, the exact date of his birth is not
known because of the difference in the calendar
and the culture. Celebration of Christmas dates
back to 4000 years. The festival of Christmas
brings happiness, joy and love.
With the birth of Jesus Christ a new change came
into the life of people. Jesus Christ was not
born in any castle or palace but was born to poor
and humble parents. History states that the celebration
of Christmas started from 98 AD. But it was only
in 137 AD that it was declared officially by the
Bishop of Rome that the day has to be celebrated
as the day of the birth of Jesus Christ. Again
in 350 AD, Julius I, a Bishop of Rome selected
December 25 as the day to celebrate Christmas.
Christmas is celebrated all around the world
in various ways. The tradition of celebrating
Christmas varies from country to country. The
tradition of celebrating Christmas has gradually
changed with the time but still there are some
old tradition that is still followed. What do
we on Christmas? Of course we buy new clothes,
decorate the house and Christmas tree, arrange
Christmas party. But when the word Christmas comes
to our mind some of the things that we visualize
are Santa Claus,Christmas Tree, gifts and Christmas
