The festival of Christmas is celebrated
throughout the world. This festival
commemorates the Birth of the legendry
Jesus Christ. In some parts of the
world, it is even believed that Santa
Clause provides gift items on two
separate occasions, first of which
is on the night of 5th December and
the last one on the 25th of the same
month.
Americans are known to celebrate
this festival with enormous passion
and enthusiasm. Almost all the native

have their own and innovative style
of celebrating this festive occasion.
The American state of Maine is also
not an exception to that. In this
American state, traditional Christmas
dinners are organized where the main
dish is mostly roasted turkey served
with vegetable sauce.In the dessert,
you can enjoy specially prepared Christmas
Puddings, Mince Pies, Pastries and
dried fruits.
Just like its fellow American states,
Maine is also known for the formal
exchange of Christmas gifts, during
this time of the year. Here, apart
from the ordinary gifts, seasonal
greetings and best wishes for the
upcoming New Year. The usual festive
day in Maine begins with the midnight
multitude. The dinners are mostly
eaten indoors in Maine so as to protect
one from the snowfalls. The houses
and apartments in this part of the
world are beautifully decorated with
tree branches from where electric
lights are suspended.
