Santa Claus is also known
as Father Christmas in many
countries is a fantasy figure who
brings Christmas gifts for children
on Christmas Eve. An old man with
jolly mood with his white beard and
a mustache wearing red attire is what
Santa Claus all about. It is said
that the figure of Santa Claus is
based on a person known as St. Nicholas
who was a Dutch and who used to help
the poor people by giving them money.
It is said that one day when he was
climbing the roof he dropped his money
purse down the chimney which accidentally
landed in a stocking put which was
put to dry by a girl near the chimney.
And with this started the concept
of Santa Claus placing the gifts in
the stocking.
The main attraction to children during
Christmas is of course Santa
Claus. It is also said that children
writes letter to Father Christmas
who lives in north pole to bring the
gift that they like most and they
send the letter through mails but
some children throw the letter at
the back of the fireplace and then
the draught carries the letters through
the chimney to Father Christmas.
Christmas Day is a happy day

who waits for Santa Claus to come
