Columbia is one of the popular countries of South America. It is a country of festivals and cultures. Iberoamericano de Teatro Festivals is one such celebrations which adds prestige and value to the rich cultural heritage of the country. This is a popular theatre festival which was held at the Columbian capital Bogotá from March 31 to April 16, 2006. In that theatre festival, one of the reputed dramas 'The World on the Stage' was staged by artists from five continents and 45 countries. The festival was held fro a period for a period of 17 days. 'The World on the Stage' was staged with a view to imbibe the drama society under one common banner. Classic Theatres, Dances, Avant-Garde etc were staged during two weeks of the festival. Corferias and Bull-fighting were the main attractions during the Theatre festivals.
During the festivals the world's most contemporary directors present their best productions during the festivities and had a in-depth exchange of ideas so that the new innovations can be implemented in their future productions. The drama groups like Austrian Burgtheatres " Bible", Hungarian Katona Jozsef's " Ivanov" " Hamlet" " The Tempest" by Lluis Pacual , " The Triumph of Love" by Bulandra Theatre of Rumania, " The Cousin of Pantagruel" by Silvin Puracarate from France, " City of Thebes" by the Chinese Opera etc provided the large audience with fun and insight about how the revolution in drama is going on globally.
