Bedfordshire, country town is known as the Bedford in United Kingdom and it shares the border with Cambridge shire. Bedfordshire is a small country town with a small population. However, the focal point of this small country town is its annual festival, known as the Bedfordshire Medieval Festival that takes place in the month of June. The exact location of the festival is in the old WW2 Twinwood Airfield which is north to the Bedford. The main role in this festival is played by the Great Ouse River. The festival starts with a huge explosion which makes everyone aware of the fact that the festival is about to begin.

The participants in the festival dress themselves as knights and soldiers, putting on colorful costumes.In this festival the medieval lifestyle is replicated, some of the participants dress as the Royal Courtiers, some as kings and queens and so on and so forth. These participants performed brilliant courtly dances and music. Tents are generally laid out where different commodities are sold, these commodities that are sold also exhibits the taste of the Royal families in the Medieval Period.

The main attraction of the festival is the dagger fight that was very popular during the British medieval period. The dagger show is usually presented by the Cob ham House of the Medieval Siege Society. The presentation shows the valor, and the skilled efforts of the performers. The whole presentation holds the display of courage and trick. The performers show their skills with naked swords and blades which are fatalistic to one's life; however no such unwanted danger takes place.

The medieval sword fighting is another performance of valor which makes the spectators thrilled at all point of time. These performances are judged by the judges and the best performer is awarded. Apart from the fights with different weapons, there is also a wonderful item, which includes the march past of the Royal army men. The synchronized march past is just eye soothing experience.
