Diwali,celebrated all over the world especially in India in October as Diwali celebrations bear a great tradition and heritage of India. Diwali is a festival of light and people share sweets and fireworks with each other. During Diwali celebrations,people clean their homes and brightly lit colorful candles and fancy lamps. The festival stands for the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. Diwali is also wont to celebrate a good harvest. Stunning color and shine of fireworks make the celebrations of Diwali more gorgeous.

The word 'Diwali', came from the Sanskrit word 'Dipavali', means row of light. The festival begins with Dhanteras. 'Dhan' signifies wealth. In ancient time on the day of Dhanteras, Lord Dhanvantari and demons were came out from the ocean and the ocean was stirred by the Gods. According to the history of Diwali, the day is celebrated by buying golds and metal utensils .

Second day is Kali puja. Kali is the goddess of strength. Kali is worshiped by devotees for getting rid from all evil powers. On this day a lots of fireworks and crackers are burnt by the people as it is a ceremony of light,color and truth.

On the third day of Diwali celebrations,every house is lighted by the lamps and colorful candles. The lamp is the symbol of knowledge and encouragement. On this day, goddess Lakshmi is worshiped by the common people as Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth.

The fourth day is the day of opening new business books by closing old business accounts. On that day new books are worshiped and the everybody is inspired to leave anger, hate, and jealousy from their lives.

On the fifth or the final day of celebration, sisters share their love with their brothers as the day is known as Bhai Dooj. They also share sweets and gifts along with each other.

Nowadays when everybody of the earth is facing lots of troubles,the Diwali celebrations has its own importance in increasing brotherhood and sisterhood. This festival increases the love between families and friends as it is the day of sharing gifts,foods and love.
