Diwali puja is a Hindu festival,celebrated
all over the India as it is the most
popular festival of all the festivals.
Diwali is a festival of light. People
of every religion celebrate Diwali
Puja and it extends over consequent
five days. The festival depicts the
victory of good over evil. Diwali
is also used to celebrate a fine harvest.
During this time,people decorate their
homes with fashionable lights,colorful
flowers,rangolis(designs with color
dust). They also exchange Diwali
Gifts and sweets with their friends
and relatives.
Diwali Puja is full of customs, rituals
and tradition. You can check the rituals

Diwali Aartis: These
are the devotional songs that are
sung during the time of Diwali puja.
Diwali Aartis are the intrinsic part
of Diwali puja.
Lakshmi Puja: It is
a worship ceremony of goddess Lakshmi.
Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth.
People clean their houses on the day
before of Lakshmi Puja as Goddess
Lakshmi likes cleanliness. Lakshmi
puja is held at the third night of
Diwali. People also worship their
household broom with offerings of
Haldi and Kumkum(turmeric and vermilion).
By lighting five pieces of ghee diyas
in front of the image of Lakshmi,devotees
sung devotional songs and offer sweets
to the goddess.
Shri Ganesha Puja This
puja takes place on Diwali by placing
the image of Lord Ganesha on a platform,making
several offerings of sandal and saffron
paste,haldi,perfumes,kumkum,gulal,flower
garland,flowers and leaves of Bel
(wood apple tree). Various fruits
and sweets are also given as offerings.
At the end of puja, devotional songs
are sung in front of the image.
The Hindu New Year It
is the fourth day of Diwali Puja when
all old business accounts are settled
and new books are opened. This new
books are worshiped and participants
are encouraged to leave anger, hate,
and jealousy from their lives.
Kali Puja It is performed
to diminish the ego and all evil spirits.
This puja is done on the night of
Kartik Amavasya. The main use of the
Puja is to pray help in front of goddess
Kali as she is the goddess of strength.
