During the three days of the Naadam festival several sporting events are organized like the horse
racing, archery, and Mongolian wrestling. A popular sport of Shagaa is enjoyed with lots of amusement
and enthusiasm among the Mongolians. It involves flicking of sheep ankle using a flicking motion of the finger bones at targets kept at a considerable distance. Wrestling is the most popular of all the games in Mongolia and numerous Mongolian wrestlers coming from different parts of the country are gathered to compete against each other during the Mongolian Celebration. At the Naadam Celebration long distance horse racing events are organized and the crowd cheers to the horsemen galloping their horses over the long stretches of the land. There are even some events of Trick riding at the Naadam festival where the horsemen displays their outstanding skills, like lifting of several objects from the ground while riding the horse at full gallop. The archery events are showcased where skilled archers compete among each other by displaying their superb talents. The colorful tents are set at distant part of the city where the nomads make their temporary staying arrangements. Often people are seen in their colorful silk clothes having the airag which is the traditional drink of Mongolia.
