This popular Mexican festival is celebrated every year during the consecutive Mondays at the July end and you will witness various customs of the famous Oaxacan culture during the celebration. Guelaguetza in Zapotec language means reciprocal exchanges of gifts and services. People from different communities in Oaxaca gathers in the open air amphitheater located in the hill of 'Cerro del Fortin' witnessing the grand extravaganza of various musical and dance events.
