New Year Blast
Mere idea of New Year blast fills your heart with energy and enthusiasm. New Year 2007 would be in no time at your doorstep and you would have another enjoying celebration with your family and friends. New Year celebration is different in different countries. People around the world perform certain cultural and traditional activities to welcome New Year. Japanese begin their New Year Celebration by laughing at the exact moment in order to draw happiness to their homes. In China, a procession known as the Festival of Lanterns is taken out whereas in Vietnam, freeing a carp fish is known to bring good luck.
New Year in USA
New Year celebration is a get together and so also for the Americans. It is a great and pompous celebration. Americans visit friends, relatives and neighbors. There is an epicurean delight displayed for all, plenty to eat and drink when you just drop in to wish your loved ones and friends the best for the year ahead. In the US, there are sometimes masquerade balls, where guests dress up in costumes and cover their faces with masks. According to an old tradition, guests unmask at midnight. During New Year's Eve parties across the United States on December 31, many guests watch the New Year celebration program at Times Square in the heart of New York city.
Indian New Year
India is a land of unity in diversity. The Indian calendar observes a long list of festivals throughout the year. In fact, Indian festivals besides being large in number are also varied because India is a land of various religions, caste and creed. Different colors, feast, gaiety and prayers characterize and distinguish the festivals and Indian New Year celebration from each other. The most celebrated festival according to Hindu mythology is the Indian New Year on the occasion of ‘Deepavali’. Other cultures also celebrate New Year on different dates and months.
