Switzerland is popular west European
country. The languages that are commonly
followed here are Swiss, German, French
and Italian. Switzerland shares international
borders with Germany, France, Italy,
Austria and Liechtenstein.
Switzerland as a country is known
for its culture. As the country has
an important strategic location, it
has cultural interactions with its
close neighbors. Of late, cultural
intermingling has started taking place
in most parts of Europe with their
African counterparts. Afro Pfingsten
celebration is a glaring instance
in this regard. Its neighbors always
influence Swiss culture. Because of
the influence of its neighbors, in
different parts of Switzerland there
has arisen the influence of respective
cultures. For example, places where
there is concentration of French culture,
it tends to be more pro-European Union,
Swiss German towards German culture,
Rhaeto Romanic culture becomes more
prone towards maintaining its own
tradition and so on.
Among all the celebrations of Switzerland,
Bex Rock Celebrations is one of the
more popular celebrations. It was
started on June 28, 2002 at a place
in Switzerland called Bex. It is a
Rock Band Group and Alexandre Barette
composed song of the band.
At the beginning, when the band started
performing publicly, the audience
felt everything strange. The location
had been kept somewhere around Bex.
Mountains and cows surrounded the
entire area. The venue of the celebrations
initially was just by the side of
power generating station. The name
of the power generating station named
Kraftwerk has the potentiality to
bring new musical metaphors between
the power generating station and the
mountains.
Bex Rock celebration does have shows
like Lucretia, Crash, Burn, and Anaconda
that have thrilled the audiences during
the past couple of years. This festival
is held every year during the month
of June.
During every phase of celebration,
the rock group performs pieces like
Lucretia, My Reflection, Crash and
Burn, Ribbons, Train/Detonation Boulevard;
we are the Same, Susanne, War on Drugs
etc.
The people of Switzerland relish
the performance of the Bex Rock Group
in a big way. They feel that this
performance provides new life and
fill them with new spirit and liveliness
to move ahead in life forcefully and
courageously.
